A Quote Is Not a Price. It's a Set of Decisions.

By the time most homeowners reach us, they are holding a number. What they are rarely holding is a clear account of what that number buys: which material system the frame is built from, how the glass actually performs, whether the installation is full-frame or an insert into the existing opening, and who carries the warranty on the labor.

Those decisions are the window. Change any one of them and you have changed the product, even when the brochure photograph looks identical. This is why two quotes for “the same window” so often arrive thousands of dollars apart and why comparing the totals tells you almost nothing.

There is a second thing inside every window price, and it has nothing to do with the window. It is the cost of reaching you: national television, call centers, appointment-setting teams, franchise fees. That cost is real, it is substantial, and the homeowner pays it. We built this company the other way around with consultants, a certified installation team, and three showrooms.

That difference in structure is the whole reason we can take a written quote for a comparable product and come in at least 15% under it without changing a single line of the specification. It is not a reduction in our price. It is what our price has always been.

How the Quote Review Works

Three steps, and the first one takes about a minute.

Send us the quote

Upload the written quote or photograph it. We need the itemized pages, the product line, and the glass and installation notes. Or schedule a visit to one of our showrooms.

We build the comparison

A consultant reads the quote line by line and specifies the Marvin equivalent: matching configuration and operation, equal or better frame material performance, equal or better U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, and the same installation method. You receive that comparison in writing, whether or not you go any further.

You receive a proposal at least 15% under

On the comparable line items, in writing, with the installation scope and the Lifetime Installation Warranty stated. Then you decide, on your own timeline. Nobody sits at your kitchen table waiting for a signature.

What Each Company Actually Sells

Renewal by Andersen builds a good window. It is one window. Every figure below is taken from each manufacturer’s own published material, linked at the foot of this section, because the specifications make the point more clearly than we could.

A single proprietary material can be an excellent answer. It cannot be the answer to every house. A 1920s center-hall colonial in Montclair, a mid-century ranch in Livingston and a new build in Bernardsville are three different structural, aesthetic and thermal problems, and the honest response to them is three different specifications.

That is the part a specialist can do and a single-product company structurally cannot. We are not choosing between one option and no option. We are choosing between four Marvin collections, three material systems, and a curated set of other manufacturers when the house calls for something else.

Four Collections. One Fitted to Your Home.

Marvin Logo Black

Marvin Ultimate

For the home where the window is part of the architecture. Wood interiors with extruded aluminium cladding outside, and the widest range of sizes, shapes, configurations and finishes Marvin makes.

Ultimate is where historic replication, arched and radius openings, and unusual proportions get solved properly rather than approximated. If you are working with an architect or replacing in a period home in Montclair, Ridgewood or Morristown, this is usually the conversation.

Marvin Modern

For contemporary architecture and expansive glass. Aluminium interiors and extruded aluminium exteriors, with high-density fiberglass available, engineered for narrow sightlines, large spans and strong thermal performance.

Modern is the collection for the house that wants as little frame and as much view as physics allows.

Marvin Elevate

Warm wood inside, Ultrex fiberglass outside. The most requested collection we specify, and for good reason: real wood interiors that take stain or paint, and a pultruded fiberglass exterior that Marvin publishes as eight times stronger than vinyl, with effectively no exterior maintenance.

Elevate covers the traditional window and door types most New Jersey homes actually need.

Marvin Essential

All Ultrex fiberglass, inside and out. A streamlined selection built for durability and low maintenance in a single material, with the same installation standard and the same warranty as everything else we fit.

Essential is the right specification for whole-house replacement where consistency and longevity matter more than a wood interior.

Marvin Doors

The same applies to doors. Marvin patio and entry systems; sliding, French, multi-slide and bi-fold, plus TruStile and Upstate for interior and entry door work.

If you are opening up a rear elevation, start with the multi-slide conversation.

We Are Not Locked Into One Product

A company that manufactures one window will recommend one window. That is not a criticism of the window; it is a description of the incentive.

We are a certified Marvin retailer because Marvin is, in our judgement, the strongest replacement range available to New Jersey homeowners across the widest set of houses. We are not exclusive to it.

Where a project calls for something else, we specify Oknoplast, Norwood, PlyGem, Interstate, Velux for daylighting, Phantom for screens, and TruStile, Upstate or Therma-Tru on doors.

The practical consequence for you is simple: the recommendation you receive is the product that fits the house, not the product we are obliged to sell.

Schedule Your Window Quote Review

Upload it, email it, or schedule a visit to Montville, Yonkers or Syosset. An AWD window expert will read it properly, tell you what it actually specifies, and put a comparable proposal in front of you up to 15% under. If you decide to stay where you are, you will at least know precisely what you are buying.
